For fearful, uncooperative or medically compromised patients, different levels of anxiety control may be recommended depending on the child’s specific dental needs, health history, age and temperament.
Laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and oral sedation are offered at both our Gainesville and Flowery Branch locations. If it has been determined that oral sedation is appropriate for your child, plan to visit our office for a morning appointment. After clearance by the dentist, your child will drink a liquid medicine that should help him/her feel more at ease about having dental treatment.
